Premises
Located in the midst of rural East Sussex with views over the South Downs, our purpose built 300m2 catering facility presides. This fully equipped modern kitchen exceeds local government and environmental health legislation and has been awarded 5 stars for the "Scores on the Doors" scheme, run by the local council.
Our kitchen is segregated into five main areas:
Storage area
Fridges and freezers for the storage of our chilled and frozen products and racking for our dry goods and ambient products are located in this area.
Preparation area
All vegetables and ambient ingredients for our lunches are prepared in this section before cooking.
Cold Section
All teas, cold deserts and side dishes are prepared in this section.
Food Production Kitchen
All hot meals are cooked in our production kitchen.
Wash Up Area
All of the equipment that is returned from our schools and nurseries is washed here.
We have excellent modern catering equipment such as Rational Ovens that can steam as well as roast or a combination of both, Firex Tilting Kettles that stew or braise and a range of Robot Coupe and Hobart machines that all efficiently help in producing different meals. We invest heavily in our premises and equipment to ensure the best possible meals can be achieved for our clients.
Our business, premises and food safety systems have undergone approval under EC Regulations 853/2004 Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2005. Our approval number, ECWE069UK, can be found on the FSA website www.food.gov.uk
