The Zebedee’s story began in 1998
The company is owned by Steve Parsons and Philip Oates, who between them have 40 years catering experience. Both Steve and Philip are professionally trained chefs. They have both worked through out the UK and Europe in high quality establishments.
All of our team have obtained either the Intermediate or the Basic Food & Hygiene Certificate. We regularly undertake in and out of house training and are audited on our Health & Safety, H.A.C.C.P, Employment Law and Personnel procedures by an external company, Citation Plc.
We are regularly inspected by our local Environmental Health Organisation and Trading Standards. Both organisations have given our premises excellent reports and our standards and systems meet and exceed those stipulated by government legislation.
Philip Oates - Managing Partner
Philip began his career as a Chef at a four-star country hotel; he then went on to develop his trade at the prestigious Casino Bern restaurant in Switzerland. On his return to the United Kingdom Philip was Executive Chef at All Bar One where he designed kitchens, developed menus and was a strong team leader. Philip plans and develops the menus for Zebedee's Lunch Box and takes this very seriously liasing with local authorities and dieticians.
Steve Parsons - Managing Partner
Steve has been working in catering since the age of 14. Since leaving college he has worked in 4 and 5 star hotels as Food & Beverage Manager and Personnel and Training manager, the most prestigious being Gleneagles in Scotland. He also worked as a General Manager for All Bar One and Browns Restaurants in both Edinburgh and London. Steve undertakes all aspects of kitchen management and personnel procedures.
Sarah Bell - Office Manager
Sarah joined Zebedee's Lunch Box in 2004 and quickly became one of the team. Sarah’s background is in conference organisation and she has worked for a number of prestigious venues. She is extremely well organised and always happy to help with any queries you may have. Sarah liases with the nurseries and schools on all aspects of ordering, accounting and alternative menu requests.
